Mikey seems to have been drumming for ever. He has been in bands with both Rick, Jeremy and Chris prior to joining Maddison. His attention to detail is a major quality along with his ability to have a Roland R8 'rimshot' played down one ear for an hour and a half at a horrendous volume and still have the ability to keep his sanity, and indeed balance, after performing. After a brief flirtation with technology in the shape of a Simmonds SDS9 'brain' and 'pads' Mikey is firmly back in the land of real drums played with great big fat sticks. Unfortunately his current set up doesn't have the ability to generate the correct sounds for us to cover the disco classic by Kelly Marie, 'It feels like I'm in love' (13/09/1980 2 weeks at #1 - 16 weeks on chart) as the SDS9 did. Oh well. Another song slips from our repertoire!
